Alfonso Ribeiro

Following Fresh Prince, Ribeiro's career has primarily consisted of guest appearances and short-lived TV series. He was a part of the cast of personalities competing on Dancing with the Stars in 2014 and was one of the favorites to win.

Carlton Banks
Ribeiro began his entertainment career at the age of 8, playing the lead role in the Broadway musical, The Tap Dance Kid. He received positive reviews for his performance and continued to develop his dancing career, a skill that would lead to the creation of The Carlton.
Geoffrey Butler
The Banks family's cynical butler is the first character seen in the pilot episode of the show, as he goes to answer the door and is mistaken by Will for Uncle Phil. In addition to a four-year Oxford University education, Geoffrey was also an Olympic runner and served as a butler to a number of British aristocrats before the Banks family hired him.
Hilary Violet Banks
Will's attractive but dim-witted eldest cousin shows a strong sense of integrity and affection for her family despite her overt snobbishness. Though Will is bewildered by her lapses in intelligence, he gets along with her better than Carlton.
James Avery

When The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air came to an end, Avery continued to work frequently before passing on December 31, 2013. Avery amassed a stunning 174 acting credits over his 30-year career.

Joseph Marcell

Geoffrey the Butler served up quite a variety of post-Prince projects. Along with guest spots on a number of shows including Living Single and Jericho, he also had extended roles in The Bold and the Beautiful and EastEnders, and he has starred in numerous movies, none of which really made it to the mainstream.

Karyn Parsons

After playing Hilary Banks on the show, Parsons continued acting up until 2002 in the short-lived TV series The Job. In 2003, she married director Alexandre Rockwell, and together, they have two children. Parsons hasn't worked on anything since producing the two-episode 2008's Sweet Blackberry Presents.

Philip Banks
Otherwise known as Uncle Phil on the show, James Avery was already an accomplished actor before NBC cast him. Avery was a Vietnam veteran, who after serving with the Navy, moved to San Diego, CA to write TV scripts and poetry. He voiced Shredder in the 1987 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated series.
Will Smith
Following the success of the show, Smith set a goal of becoming the biggest movie star in the world by studying box office successes. He starred in a number of blockbuster films, earned a couple Oscar nominations, and he continues to act today, with a number of films coming up, including sequels to his previous hits, Hancock and Bad Boys.
Will Smith
Before NBC signed him to a contract and launching his acting career, Smith was primarily known as a rapper who performed radio-friendly songs with his childhood friends, DJ Jazzy Jeff and Ready Rock C. In 1990, the IRS had left Smith basically bankrupt after garnishing his wages after he underpaid taxes for two years.
