While these celebs may have gotten a later start than some, many of these celebrities who got famous after age 30 have gone on to win awards and have becomes some of the biggest celebrity names.

Who is the most notable person who became famous after 30? Oprah Winfrey tops this list. Her talk show first went national in 1968 when she was 32-years-old, exposing her to a huge audience. Sylvester Stallone became a household name when he was 30 years old after the release of his 1976 film Rocky.

Harrison Ford was working as a carpenter to support his struggling acting career when he installed cabinets at the home of George Lucas. It ended up being just the first of many times he worked for Lucas and got him his big break in his 30s. Jon Hamm was a struggling actor until he landed the role of Don Draper on "Mad Men" at the age of 36.
